The third concert in the San Antonio Chamber Music’s 80th season will take place on February 12, 2023 and feature the percussion quartet, Sandbox Percussion.  Sandbox has received critical acclaim, being described as “exhilarating” by the New York Times, and “utterly mesmerizing” by The Guardian.  As musical leaders in contemporary music and percussion, Sandbox Percussion thrills audiences with outstanding visual and auditory performances.  Their musical work represents a unique interpretation of chamber music.  In 2020, Sandbox Percussion released the album And That One Too (Coviello Classics).  The musicians of the Sandbox Percussion ensemble are Jonny Allen, Victor Caccese, Ian David Rosenbaum, and Terry Sweeney.

On the program for this concert are compositions by Victor Caccese (Bell Patterns), Amy Beth Kirsten (may the devil me), J.S. Bach (Largo from Keyboard Concerto No. 5 in f minor, BWV 1056, arranged by V.
