FwdProgress is thrilled to present the upcoming premiere of “The Rays”, a television comedy written and produced by 2021 Luminaria Contemporary Artist Award recipient, DeAnna Brown in collaboration with partners and local artists. In this inspiring comedy, viewers will follow an extraordinary family as they tackle the everyday challenges of mental illness, poverty, and family secrets with humor, heart, and resilience.

The show was filmed in San Antonio, Texas at the historic Ella Austin Community Center, in December 2021, showcasing the incredible talents of numerous local award-winning artists such as; Cedric Thomas Smith, Mari Barrera, and J-Darius. Along with generous production partners like Pat Whitfield Productions, Good Visualz and Creative Circuit Studios.  According to DeAnna Brown, “it has been an amazing journey of collaboration and creative expression, and we can’t wait for you to join us for the premiere and see the story come to life.”
