The dance foundations class is an engaging and dynamic program tailored specifically for children between the ages of 6 and 9, providing them with a solid introduction to various dance styles and building a strong foundation of dance technique. With an emphasis on fun and creativity, this class aims to foster a love for dance while developing fundamental skills. The class also emphasizes teamwork, spatial awareness, and musicality, allowing children to develop their social skills and a sense of rhythm. In a positive and supportive environment, children have the opportunity to express themselves, build self-confidence, and develop a strong foundation in dance. Students will spend three-quarters of the class in ballet slippers and the remainder in jazz shoes learning basic jazz fundamentals. It is recommended that Dance Foundation students take this one-hour class twice a week.
