The Overflow of Productivity Logic

The Overflow of Productivity Logic

Presented by Instituto Cultural de México en San Antonio at Mexican Cultural Institute

From February to May 2017 the Mexican Cultural Institute San Antonio is proud to present the exhibit THE OVERFLOW OF PRODUCTIVITY LOGIC | DESBORDAMIENTOS DE LA LÓGICA DE LA PRODUCTIVIDAD, featuring select works of modern and contemporary art from the Isabel and Agustin Coppel Collection.

The fifteen artists selected are:  Eduardo Abaroa, Carolina Esparragoza, Janine Gordon, William Kentridge, Cristina Lucas, Gordon Matta Clark, Cido Meireles, Esteban Pastorino, Irving Penn, Santiago Sierra, Larry Clark, Abraham Cruzvillegas, David Hammons, Susan Hiller, and Fritzia Irizar Rojo.

The overflow of productivity logic, under the curatorship of Barbara Cuadriello, was the first exhibition made specifically for the collection’s office. On 2015, as part of our many efforts to create a closer dialogue with a wider audience, the exhibition travelled to Montreal, Canada. During 2017 the exhibition is traveling through the United States of America, first to Washington, D.C. and now to San Antonio.

This exhibition is organized by the Mexican Cultural Institute San Antonio with the support of the Consulate of Mexico in San Antonio and the Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation (AMEXCID) of the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Isabel and Agustin Coppel Collection.
