Cinderella is the ultimate rags to riches tale. Featuring a host of colorful characters, the production is a highly entertaining take on one of Rossini's most popular comedies. With music that's bright, breathless and full of energy, it's a Cinderella story...but not quite as you may know it.

Forced to work as servant to her stepfather and stepsisters, Cenerentola (Cinderella) dreams of the past, and of a better life. Kind and generous, she is all that her family is not. Hearing that Don Ramiro is holding a ball to choose a wife, her sisters gleefully prepare themselves for royal life. Then a mysterious veiled lady makes an unexpected appearance at the palace and their ambitions look set to be thwarted. Rossini’s sparkling score demands impressive vocal agility and the best in comedy characterization.

The opera will last approx. 2 1/2 hours with one 20-minute intermission.  Opening night will feature a cake reception following the performance. The opera will be perfromed in English and will star sone of the finest opera voices in the region and a full professional orchestra. A family event for everyone.
