During National Public Health Week, meet us at San Pedro Playhouse, and discover how performance and art affect health and well-being.
The intersection of theatre and public health takes center stage at San Pedro Playhouse on April 5. Organized collaboratively by The UT School of Public Health San Antonio, UTSA, and San Pedro Playhouse, “Theatre + Public Health” promises to unravel the profound connections between the arts and well-being.
Attendees will be treated to "micro performances" of dance, music, and acting integrated into the agenda, featuring performers from each organization. Viewers will also be able to preview a monologue from the upcoming production of Midsummer Sueño before its opening date. These showcases were carefully curated to complement the discussions and will illustrate the influence each art form can have on health and well-being. This event aims to underscore the transformative power of the arts in enhancing our understanding of public health.
Lunch will be provided before the discussion, with giveaways distributed after the event while supplies last.
