4th Annual Environmental Film Fest

4th Annual Environmental Film Fest

Presented by San Antonio River Foundation at Santikos Northwest 14 Theatre

The San Antonio River Authority (SARA)  will host the agency’s 4th Annual Environmental Film Fest to help commemorate National Rivers Month in June.  This is a free event; however, seating is limited to the first 250 attendees.

SARA is partnering once again with the South Yuba River Citizens League Annual Wild & Scenic® Film Festival to feature national and international short films about topics such as nature, adventure, wildlife, environmental justice, and conservation. The festival will also feature SARA’s 2nd Annual Watershed Wise Awards video ceremony. The video awards ceremony will recognize individuals and organizations from Bexar, Wilson, Karnes, and Goliad counties who have helped raise awareness of watershed issues relevant to SARA’s vision and mission of “inspiring actions for healthy creeks and rivers” and to “protect and enhance our creeks and rivers through service, leadership and expertise” during 2016-2017.

In addition to the film screenings, the public will get a chance to visit informational tables from 5-7 p.m. to learn about SARA, the Wild & Scenic Film Festival sponsors and the San Antonio River Foundation. Attendees will also receive free popcorn and drinks while supplies last and can also enter a raffle to win prizes from the national sponsors of the Wild & Scenic Film Festival. For more information about the film fest and to view the full schedule of screenings, visit www.saratx.org.
