Meet the Donkey Lady and other characters inspired by local legend in this intimate workshop performance based on Marisela Barrera's short stories. Written and performed by Barrera with live music by Azul Barrientos.

“Tejana Trilogy” runs June 30 and July 1.  A special tardeada (afternoon) performance happens Sunday, July 2 at 5 p.m. 

Barrera’s linked short story collection, Ruby Reds, Big Birds y Burras, serves as source material for two new plays this summer: “Tejana Trilogy” at Jump-Start and “Ruby Reds, Big Birds y Burras” at the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center, playing August 4-6. Both are distinct performances with linked characters. Azul Barrientos provides live music for each.
