Entre La Sombra: Life Along the Missions Exhibit

Entre La Sombra: Life Along the Missions Exhibit

Presented by City of San Antonio Department of Arts & Culture at Culture Commons Gallery at Plaza de Armas

The City of San Antonio's Department of Arts & Culture, World Heritage Office, and the Office of Historic Preservation present, "Entre la Sombra: Life Along the Missions." The exhibit encourages viewers to connect and share the unique aspects of their own lives by experiencing a selection of stories about life lived along the San Antonio Missions interpreted by local artists through drawings, paintings, printmaking and photography.

The spirit of the San Antonio Missions lives, not just within the walls of the missions, but in the people who are part of the missions’ history. Capturing the people’s stories, helps us understand the cultural history of our World Heritage missions.

Curated and designed by Rigoberto Luna.

Participating Artists: Fernando Andrade, David Blancas, Joe De La Cruz, Jenelle Esparza, Dan Guerrero, Patricia Guerrero, Jacinto Guevara, Joe Lopez, Christopher Montoya, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Ed Saavedra, Jose Sotelo, and Allison Valdivia.

The exhibit runs through November 24, 2017, and is free and open to the public.
