During September 28 – October 8, filmgoers in San Antonio will unite with more than 100,000 film lovers across the world to view and judge the work of the next generation of filmmakers. The immensely popular Manhattan Short Film Festival will return to URBAN-15 for two consecutive weekends for a total of four screenings.
Manhattan Short’s unique and enduring feature is that it offers cinema goers a chance to become film critics, filling out a ballot after the screening that allows them to vote for Best Film and Best Actor. Votes will be sent to Manhattan Short HQ, and winners announced at ManhattanShort.com on Monday, October 9 at 10 a.m. EST.
This year, Manhattan Short received a record-breaking 1615 short film entries from 75 countries, a testimony to the enduring vibrancy and creativity of the short film genre. The ten finalists hail from nine countries: Georgia, Latvia, Italy, New Zealand, Spain, Switzerland, Syria, United Kingdom, and the U.S. For more information on film titles and directors, visit the Manhattan Short website.
