CUFT: The Small Works of MACHINE

CUFT: The Small Works of MACHINE

Presented by UTSA Terminal 136 at Terminal 136

This small-works show presents a diverse array of objects that occupy no more than a cubic foot of space. Materials including glass, steel, aluminum, glitter, neon, found objects, and sculpted plaster converse with mediums such as painting, drawing, photography—mirroring the artist’s ongoing conversations as reciprocal critics and collaborators. The works are displayed atop pedestal shelves that measure 12 by 12 by 12 inches, to frame their relationships to each other through that volume.

Bound by mutual support, the artist members of MACHINE work together, create together, and occupy spaces together. For CUFT, they present a body of small works that embodies their shared experiences in the space of a tightknit community.
