SONGS OF FREEDOM: A TRIBUTE TO JONI MITCHELL, ABBEY LINCOLN & NINA SIMONE explores the work of these 1960’s prolific artists who expressed freedom in various ways. Joni sung about the freedom of love, Abbey expressed freedom of her individuality through her lyricism and Nina demanded freedom politically through song. To effectively deliver this vast repertoire, the program features vocalists Theo Bleckmann, Alicia Olatuja and René Marie.
