1984: The year of big hair and Purple Rain. Ronald Reagan was in the White House and Jump-Start organized its first Performance Party. Jump-Start continues to redefine itself and welcome new company members and partnerships with sister organizations.

Jump-Start’s 33rd annual celebration, Performance Party 33: The Power of Three, reflects the company’s excitement about the Power of Partnership. 

The night boasts a line-up full of San Anto-famous performance artists such as drag queen and costume designer John McBurney, actor Jade Esteban Estrada, AIDS artivist Anna De Luna, Nicolas Valdez of Los Nahuatlatos, drag kings Los MENtirosos, and more than 20 additional acts, culminating in a hair-raising fire-eating show featuring Jump-Start’s Flaming Fire Eaters. Additionally, audiences will preview Jump-Start’s 2018 productions.
