Spring Exhibition Opening

Presented by Artpace San Antonio and Contemporary Art Month at Artpace San Antonio

Join us Thursday, March 22 during The Big Give SA as we unveil new work by ten artists across five exhibitions all on the same evening. Artpace’s Spring 2018 Resident Artists will open exhibitions from their residency while Contemporary Art Month’s cross-cultural exhibition with the Canary Islands will be revealed in the Hudson Showroom. In Main Space, John Medina will complete the second phase of his installation The Sunset Belongs to Us with a 20-foot long 'drip' painting and recorded memories of San Antonians amplified onto the street.

San Antonio-based artists
-Hayfer Brea (Caracas, Venezuela)
-Barbara Miñarro (Monterrey, Mexico)
-Ethel Shipton (Laredo, Texas)

Canary Islands-based artists
-Luna Bengoechea (Gran Canaria, Spain)
-Francis Naranjo (Gran Canaria, Spain)
-PSJM, Cynthia Viera & Pablo San José (Spain)

All five exhibitions open Thursday, March 22 with a special public reception from 6-9 p.m. John Medina’s work and the CAM Perennial will be on view until May 6. The Spring 2018 resident artists’ exhibitions will close May 13.
