The Millworks will be responding to the film Paterson directed by Jim Jarmusch.
About the Movie: Paterson (Adam Driver) is a hardworking bus driver in Paterson, N.J., who follows the same routine every day. He observes the city and listens to fragments of conversations while picking up and dropping off his passengers. Paterson also writes heartfelt poems in a notebook, walks his dog. Waiting for him at home is Laura (Golshifteh Farahani), his beloved wife who champions his gift for writing.
Paterson is a fantastic film depicting the life of one poet and the portrait it paints is perfect for National Poetry Month at The Millworks in collaboration with Southwest School of Art’s BFA program class “The Image of the Artist in Literature and Cinema” with Jim LaVilla-Havelin There will be a discussion on clips from the movie prompted by talks with the artists about the work produced for the show.
