Scavenger Hunt at Brackenridge Park

Scavenger Hunt at Brackenridge Park

Presented by San Antonio Conservation Society at Brackenridge Park

The San Antonio Conservation Society is hosting a free Scavenger Hunt at Brackenridge Park.  The check-in site for the scavenger hunt will be outside the Pump House, which is located across the river from the Joske Pavilion and Brackenridge Park Conservancy.

In January 2018, the San Antonio Conservation Societypledged $300,000 to the restoration and rehabilitation of the historic Pump House #1 in Brackenridge Park as its Tricentennial SA300 project.  The Pump House is the oldest intact industrial structure (1877) in the city—the remnant of the city’s first water works system. This Scavenger Hunt is to celebrate this project.

Founded in 1924, the San Antonio Conservation Society is one of the first community preservation groups in the United States.  For 94 years, the San Antonio Conservation Society has been the leading force to conserve the buildings, waterways, parks and intangible heritage of this multicultural city.
