Presented by San Antonio Metropolitan Ballet at The Performing Arts Center at Palo Alto College

SA Met Ballet’s Season 34 “Dance Kaleidoscope 2018” will feature Sr. Co. Choreographers; four emerging works exploring complex movement and social topics.

 

DK18 will include choreography by Jackie Courchene, Karin Heiden, and Ruka White. In conjunction with Mental Health Awareness Month, SAMB is partnering with Bring Change to Mind (BC2M), a nonprofit created by actress Glenn Close and her family to end the stigma and discrimination surrounding mental illness. In support of Rowan Casillas' piece, "Split Minded" a contemporary dance exploring Schizophrenia, video PSAs from BC2M will be played to raise the awareness towards mental health. Under the direction of Susan B. Connally, SAMB is a member of Regional Dance America, SA Performing Arts Collective, an SA2020 Partner and SA300 Official Tricentennial Partner. SAMB’s mission is to provide a professional dance experience in a pre-professional setting.
