Enjoy an award winning dance and musical performance that captures the flavor and passion of San Antonio and its cultural roots in Mexico this summer during the month of July.
¡BRAVO! An Evening of Song and Dance features the Parks and Recreation Department’s Fandango and Alamotion Dance Troupes performing Mexican Folkloric, jazz, hip hop and Latin style dance. The City’s youth band, TAKE NOTE, will once again accompany the dance troups' performances while showcasing the band. Local guest artist Joel Settles will serve as emcee.
¡BRAVO! is one of the best entertainment values in town for both tourists and locals alike. Enjoy the drama of traditional folkloric numbers, passionate vocals, outstanding live music and high energy contemporary dance routines. This year’s show highlights musical moments and contributions of regional artists and cultures that have helped shape the American music scene in San Antonio and beyond. San Antonio is celebrating its 300th anniversary, and cultural programming has been the hallmark of the SA Parks and Recreation Department for almost 84 years. This is entertainment Puro San Antonio style!
General admission is free, however, suggested donations of $10 per person is always appreciated.
Proceeds from donations benefit the youth participating in the Parks and Recreation Department cultural programs.
