Felder Gallery announces its upcoming exhibition, "Near and Far," featuring the works of urban landscape painter Andrea Almond. Opening on March 2, the exhibit will include paintings of cities around the world. From Paris to Stockholm, several European cities are represented alongside paintings of some of the oldest cities here in the U.S.

An opening reception will be held March 2, 2019 from 5-7 p.m.

A native Texan, Andrea Almond grew up in a family atmosphere that nurtured her artistic talents and introduced her to working artists and art galleries at a young age. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the University of North Texas. In recent years she has studied under notable artists such as Ken Auster, Peggy Knoll Roberts, Kim English and Calvin Liang. Andrea currently lives and works in San Antonio, where she continues to be inspired by a city that has its own rich history of diverse cultures.
