Tickets to the Yo-Yo Ma: The Bach Project concert presented by ARTS San Antonio are sold out. However, there is still an opportunity to join in on this culturally diverse experience by attending the free simulcast event at Mission Marquee Plaza.  Mission Marquee Plaza, with its large outdoor screen, serves the community as a meeting place to enjoy various activities throughout the year including festivals, film screenings, arts and culture events, open-air markets and more.  

In August 2018, Yo-Yo Ma set out on a new journey to demonstrate "culture's power to create moments of shared understanding". This concert is part of a two-year global initiative comprising 36 performances across six continents in renowned venues in cities which are characterized by their rich cultural heritage. For this project, titled The Bach Project, Yo-Yo Ma will present all of six of Johann Sebastian Bach's Cello Suites in one performance. Alongside each concert, Yo-Yo Ma has also organized days of action through which he invites the community to engage in a dialogue exploring how culture can help us "imagine and build a better future".
