One Size Fits a Host of Visions. One People, Many Paths: Sacred Art of Altars

Imagine…60 handcrafted altars hanging in one large open room. It’s a dazzling display of contrasts in variety and unity. Each piece has an identical shape and the same 10” x 16” size, yet each shrine is decorated differently, in an eye-popping array of colors and media, including paint, wax, glass, metal, fabric, ceramics and more. And the subject matter ranges from sublime to temporal, and from spiritual to satirical.

Sixty of San Antonio’s most creative artists have created and donated their work for this exhibit and silent auction on display in the gallery at The Brick. All proceeds benefit the Celebration Circle of San Antonio, a 501 (c)(3) interfaith community whose creative, inclusive approach to spirituality is perfectly embodied in this exhibition. This marks the 15th consecutive year that this successful, wide-ranging exhibit has been held. Cash Bar, Live Music
