Founded so fine artists creating hand-pulled prints would have a place to work, Stonemetal Press has provided low cost printmaking facilities for local and visiting artists since 1991.

The studio has shared printmaking with students of all ages. Programs have included custom workshops for local school children, staff development for teachers, and visiting artist opportunities.

Stonemetal Press was the first organization to bring an international art competition to San Antonio with the establishment of Hand-Pulled Prints in 1992.

StoneMetal Press gallery and offices are located within Blue Star Art Complex, part of the historic King William district of San Antonio. Our central location makes us readily accessible to all areas of the city. Well known for its exhibition of contemporary hand printed works, our gallery draws hundreds of visitors monthly.
