PLAYhouse

"Play House" by San Antonio artist Karen Mahaffy is a small-scale house/shade structure modeled after the’saltbox’ style of houses that existed in the area prior to HemisFair’68. The artwork is comprised of laser cut steel panels patterned with period wallpaper designs, and roof sections cut to mimic large shady pecan trees, which create playful and delicate shadows evoking nostalgia of a bygone era. "Play House" is part of the series "Play" located in Yanaguana Garden at Hemisfair Park. To discover more information about "Play" please visit : http://playathemisfair.org/artists/.
