Puente de Rippling Shadows (Bridge of Rippling Shadows)

"Puente de Rippling Waters" (Bridge of Rippling Waters) by San Antonio artist Rolando Briseño celebrates the river and connects to passerby’s at street level. The artwork transforms an ordinary sidewalk into a scenic overlook and creates an inviting and visually dynamic shaded area. The piece is comprised of more than two dozen steel structures extending up from the railings with galvanized limbs supporting overlapping concentric discs of perforated aqua metal sheets, meant to evoke the feeling of rippling water.
