Yanaguana

“Yanaguana” by San Antonio artist Alex Rubio is a 40 foot-long abstract composition inspired by the history and myth of the San Antonio river, known as Yanaguana by the region’s indigenous peoples. Rubio painted the mural with assistance from Blue Star Contemporary Art Museum’s MOSAIC student artist program. “Yanaguana” is part of the series “Play” located in Yanaguana Garden at Hemisfair Park.
