Cameo Theatre

Cameo Theatre

The Cameo Theatre (Newly renovated) is steeped in the history of old San Antonio. Built in 1940 to serve the needs of the East side of San Antonio, it had both a vaudeville stage and a movie screen. Louis Armstrong, B.B. King and Fats Domino were among the early performers who commanded the stage during it’s heyday. More recently, the likes of Jazz great Stan Getz, pop artist Suzanne Vega, and such diverse acts as Metallica and Guns ’n’ Roses have played the facility. The Cameo has multifunctional capabilities from film to multimedia to live theatrical performances, from live music concerts to fabulous theme parties. The decor is dramatic Egyptian Art Deco with deep burgundy walls, gilt columns and polychrome accents throughout. Cameo Center is the perfect setting for your special event.
