Central Library

The San Antonio Public Library has 21 Branch Libraries throughout the city, each serving local communities. The Central Library is located at 600 Soledad in Downtown San Antonio. The “Enchilada Red” building was designed by renowned Mexican architect Ricardo Legoretta and provides a colorful entry to the downtown area. Inside the Central Library visitors will find a stunning work by world-famous glass artist Dale Chihuly, a Gallery that features changing art exhibitions, an active meeting room, and an impressive Media Collection in addition to the collection of books and periodicals.
