Esperanza Peace and Justice Center

Esperanza Peace and Justice Center

The Esperanza Peace and Justice Center is a grassroots social justice and cultural institution created as a place where community-based organizations, activists and cultural artists can meet, discuss issues, and take action against all forms of violence and oppression. For over 17 years, the Esperanza has actively advocated for people of color, women, queer people, youth and elders, immigrants, working class and poor people—all those affected by historical domination and inequality. Our mission of community cultural organizing involves working to build alliances across communities and facilitating public discussion (pláticas, workshops), cultural presentations (art exhibits, concerts, film screenings, performances), and civic action (marches and rallies, media advocacy, political education) on important local to global issues along with issues of community concern. For more information call: 210/228-0201.
