Chris Knox

Chris Knox Sr. is a guitarist and vocalist with deep roots and musical influences stemming from the Midwest- born in Chicago, Illinois and later raised in Detroit, Michigan. He took a departure from music during high school, but his interest rekindled after joining the U.S. Air Force and getting stationed in San Antonio, Texas. During his Air Force career, Chris played in several R&B and Jazz bands while stationed in Korea, Germany and San Antonio. During his tour in Germany, one of his most memorable moments was being selected as the guitarist for the Air Force Tops in Blue entertainment showcase and world tour. Chris was re-assigned back to San Antonio and formed his own Jazz/R&B band called “Groove Factor”. He currently performs as a solo artist and often plays with other well-known San Antonio bands and musicians. Chris also channels his musical talent as the guitarist for his local church, Now Word Fellowship, and other freelance projects. He has been active most recently backing nationally known smooth Jazz artists in concert performances and festivals around San Antonio. Chris has released three singles, available on his website and most music streaming platforms and is currently working on a self-titled CD project. Aside from the music, Chris has held senior management positions specializing in employee / leadership development, business process improvement, strategic planning and integrated (cyber & physical) security. He is available as a speaker or workshop facilitator.
