Artist Statement of Work

Tell us about your work (style, approach, philosophy, subject and/or theme):

I have loved the work of artists like Alphonse Mucha, David Downton, Henri Toulouse-Latrec, and Rene Grau for a long time. They have always inspired my work, and I strive to create work that emulates them.

I also am inspired by fashion designers like Dior, Worth, Siriano, and more. Both from the past and present, I love creating art that’s fashionable for everyone. The Body Positive movement greatly informs my illustrations - and as a Plus Size woman, I do my best to make sure that side of the fashion world is represented.

Whether digital or physical media, I enjoy sweeping lines, washes of color, and loose, flowing shapes. Art should be fun, after all!
