Artist Statement of Work

Tell us about your work (style, approach, philosophy, subject and/or theme):

I am a multi-disciplinary performance artist and the basis of my work is centered around resilience. I discovered creative arts through the clarinet and though I don't play nearly as much as I did as a clarinet performance major, I like to think the music never stopped, instead, it's found new ways to sound. Some major themes that can be found in my art are:

  • Alcoholism/Recovery
  • Love & Grief
  • LGBTQ+ Issues
  • Self-Acceptance
  • Mestizo Roots

I believe that we are all artists in our own way and encourage everyone to lean into creative expression, especially if/when on a healing journey. I believe it is my mission to help other artists tell their story by living mine outloud.
