Tell us about your work (style, approach, philosophy, subject and/or theme):

Karla and Megan are inspired by their experiences as mothers, artists and community advocates. They are committed to producing work that strengthens the city's social fabric, evolves with the life of the neighborhood and is responsive to interactions with people in public spaces. Artwork that is designed to create a stronger sense of belonging connects citizens and visitors to a vibrant city and the natural environment that sustains life on earth.

They bring a diverse set of skills and knowledge to their collaboration. Karla has extensive knowledge in the role of native species, biomimicry, and public art interventions to foster positive change. Megan’s work demonstrates a strong understanding of materials and craft and speaks to important human experiences surrounding the natural world, family and community.
