Arte y Pasion ENTRE LOS ARBOLES: CONFLUENCIAS

Arte y Pasión is thrilled to kick off their 2022 season with TABLAO ENTRE LOS ARBOLES: CONFLUENCIAS.  CONFLUENCIAS is a series of vignettes with artists coming together from Madrid, Portland, and San Antonio, crafting a tapestry of cultures, languages, poetry and music, woven together with the common thread of flamenco.

CONFLUENCIAS is a performance tour of three days featuring dancers Tamara Adira, Genevieve Obregon, Randy Cordero on guitar, Celia Sellers cante, and Alex Nicholas percussion, with special guests guitarist Berto Boyd of Portland Oregon, with a special surprise guest from Madrid, Spain; featuring San Antonio Poet Laureate Andrea Vocab Sanderson.

Arte y Pasión, led by dancer and artistic director, Tamara Adira, is a company known for pushing the boundaries of flamenco and Spanish dance. Each performance is a visually stunning theatrical event comprised of independent artists, each highly accomplished, who come together to form one of the most contemporary Spanish dance companies in the country.  Arte y Pasión’s mission is to share, promote and develop the authentic art of flamenco as a vehicle of healing and restoration, and the promotion of human rights and equality.
