The UTSA Institute of Texan Cultures hosts a unique student exhibit for Dia de los Muertos. A major piece of the exhibit includes an Ofrenda, prepared by a UTSA Honors College class as a class project. Lecturer Alegra Lozano teaches HON3503: Dia de los Muertos to a class of 16 UTSA Honors College students, in a variety of majors.
The students will prepare an altar, or “Ofrenda,” with traditional, modern, and interactive elements to honor the cultural tradition of Dia de los Muertos. The
