#FilmSA Contest Awards Ceremony & Film Screening

Join us on Saturday May 6, 2023 at 8pm as we announce the winners of the 2023 #FilmSA Contest followed by a screening the winning short films! The 2023 #FilmSA Contest is a film competition, coordinated by the San Antonio Film Commission, devoted to telling the story of the people, places and shared experiences that make San Antonio a vibrant and celebrated city for visitors, residents and filmmakers. The contest’s purpose is to inspire youth (ages 14 – 21) to explore the art and craft of filmmaking while expanding their knowledge of and appreciation for San Antonio. This year we have two category options: “Heritage and Quality of Life” or “City Parks of San Antonio.”

Following the ceremony, the City of San Antonio World Heritage Office will kick off its annual Outdoor Family Film Series at Mission Marquee Plaza starting with Disney’s The Lion King! Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, snacks, and picnics. Or, purchase snacks from one of the onsite food trucks and support local! Free parking is available.
