About the author:
After thirty years of writing about growing up in the heart of San Antonio’s Westside, Villarreal Rodriguez feared she had run out of time to publish a book after receiving a cancer diagnosis. Facebook posts during the pandemic caught the attention of publisher and UTSA professor emerita Josie Méndez-Negrete, who said, “Teresa gives voice to a way of life that makes San Antonio’s Mexican American culture and identity unique and enduring.”
The book, “Home, Where Memories Wait to be Remembered,” will be available for sale at the reading.
