Project:MASA-V “Mars Needs More Women” is an exhibit scheduled to open at Centro Cultural Aztlan(1800 Fredericksburg Rd #103, San Antonio, TX 78201) in the Spring of 2022 (March 24th - June 10th). March 24th, 2022 —Project:MASA-5 "Mars Needs More Women" Opening Reception 6pm - 9pm. MASAporte Applications will be taken. MASA-portes are passports to space and proof of galactic citizenship. Its a Cosmic Couture Open Call! Show up to the MASA-porte Station wearing your cosmic outfit or space suit to apply for a MASA-porte. You must pose for a photograph of the outfit and a passport size photo for the MASA-porte. By doing so, the applicant agrees to release the photo image for a future Project:MASA Series curated photo exhibit and documentation.

What is Cosmic Couture? The articles of clothing are meant to represent the outside skin that people have to develop and wear in order to navigate social and cultural spaces. It’s a metaphor.
Cosmic Couture Outfit Selection Criteria
For those wondering about how the open call selection works. All are welcome to apply and receive a MASAporte if dressed in an outfit. In order to be considered for being included into the catalog and future photo exhibit the outfit must meet the criteria below:
1. Originality of the outfit—no copyrighted costume
2. Clever depiction of the ProjectMASA metaphor(to learn more visit
3. Connection to culture in the outfit
4. Personal identity of the owner is reflected
5. Quality of artistry
