Jump-Start’s Summer Workshop Series presents:
Rhythm and Rhyme with VOCAB and Nick Blevins
Two sessions of creative writing workshops that include performances by the lead artists, a break out session of brainstorming on topics that include overcoming trauma, anecdotes about heritage and family rituals, or personal stories of identity that include upbringing and rights of passage. Participants will create narratives written in the style of poetry and prose set to music composition and recited in spoken word performance.
