NIMN tells the intergenerational stories of ordinary citizens respond to the policies, process, and institutions driving contemporary forms of spatial violence and gentrification in world-class cities: Cape Town, New York, and São Paulo.
SABIFF, in partnership with Azania Rizing Productions presents the award winning documentary, Not In My Neighbourhood, followed by a virtual post discussion with South African director/producer, Kurt Orderson, and co-producer Najma Nuriddin.

Award winning Director/Producer Kurt Orderson grew up on the Cape Flats of Cape Town, a strip of townships built by the architects of Apartheid in the 1960s. He has worked in over 6 continents and has directed and produced over 11 feature documentaries that have screened at international film festivals and on various broadcast outlets. Kurt is the founder of Azania Rizing Productions, a company that aims to inspire young people through creative storytelling about Africa and African Diasporas. His film Not In My Neighbourhood, creates a platform for these stories to be told. Post virtual film discussion after screening. #NIMN
