Tsuyoshi Anzai: Healthy Machines

Tsuyoshi Anzai specializes in kinetic art and video. He creates simple-structured machines by making impromptu combinations of everyday items, exploring the relationships between humans and objects.

“What is health? Health is undoubtedly one of the prime values of our lives. The word “health” comes from Old English “hal” which means “wholeness.” Then “health” is “complete and total condition” in the English foundational meaning…In 2007 and 2009, I was given a surgery to enucleate a brain tumor. $3 – Seniors (65+), SWell Cycle Members, and King William Association members

Free – Blue Star Contemporary Members, Military and Veterans, Educators, Lone Star Card holders, and Students with ID. Reciprocal members: San Antonio TechBloc, and Mod/Co Reciprocal Membership Program. Same-day visitors to the McNay Art Museum with valid receipt.

Free – Thursdays after 4:00 p.m. and all day First Thursday and First Friday.

  • Saturdays – Sundays 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
