YA DIG?!

San Antonio has a rich culture of vinyl record enthusiasts. With local shops like Southtown Vinyl, Friends of Sound, Hogwild and Crazy Rhythms its obvious the old mediums are still being utilized. We want to show you a small subset of that. We invite you to join us for this special event where we invite local vendors, local artists and one special guest from Atlanta, GA; MICHAEL SCOTT from PEOPLE of EARTH records. We are going to have local selectors Honey Channel starting at 5pm, a duo who share many styles of music from the past and present to introduce you to our evening. This comes after a small instructional piece by KINN for anyone who wants to learn the art, 4:30-5. We move along in the evening with Joshua K. Swensen of THE SOUL SPOT; a local outfit of djs sharing soul music from many eras. He starts at 6. Spicing the evening up before our featured guest we have a B2B2B with local Sprout Dj’s Adam Madrigal, Mike C. and Kinn. This trio will mix it up from 7-8:30 before Michael Scott takes the wheels around sunset until closing. In addition there will be a visual artist, Screen Tears and lasers by JDS. Both of these artists are a staple in our communities helping to spice up events. Our DJ booth will be getting a live painting during the evening as well from local graffiti artist RELEK. All of you will have an opportunity to purchase a tshirt as well that will be printed on site to commemorate the moment. We’re really hoping for a grand experience, almost like a block party style where we can showcase our love for our community with all types of local vendors and local artists communing in one spot celebrating music and life.
