Association of Puerto Ricans in San Antonio (APRISA)

The Association of Puerto Ricans in San Antonio better known as APRISA was founded in 2009 and formed as a Texas 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization in 2012. Our mission is to host and support social, cultural and artistic events to promote a better understanding of the Puerto Rican culture among the San Antonio community and future generations; and to award scholarships to non-traditional students of Puerto Rican heritage and persons with special needs seeking upward mobility and/or independence. We help promote higher education amongst adults who for one reason or another had to postpone education, and now they need it to get o job or a promotion.
