URBAN-15 is the only dance company in Texas performing in Global Water Dances this year we are proud to represent our great city on a global stage, and highlight one of San Antonio’s finest gems; the San Pedro Creek Culture Park. With the help of independent filmmaker extraordinaire Ray Santisteban, and photography genius Ramin Samandari with Music composed by George Cisneros - URBAN-15 presentS:
THE WATER CALLS
The Water Calls for us to: save the oceans; save the rivers; save the creeks. We dance in the historic San Pedro Creek, where the Payaya people lived for over 12,000 years, where Spanish explorers created Missions, where immigrant cultures converged. It is here that our community took root and evolved. As Mother Earth suffers through escalating climate change and diminishing waters, we focus on healing through Dance.
