Public Art Input Session with Visual Artist David Blancas

Public Art Input Session with Visual Artist David Blancas

Presented by City of San Antonio Department of Arts & Culture and The URBAN-15 Group at URBAN-15 Studios

URBAN-15 hosts a public exhibit of the artwork being created by artists David Blancas and Oscar Alvarado for the U.S. Highway 90 underpasses at S. Presa, Roosevelt, and Steves as part of the World Heritage Trail Public Art Project. This project is sponsored by the City of San Antonio Department of Arts & Culture and the World Heritage Office.

Come meet one of the artists involved, and bring your stories, memories and photographs of the neighborhood for possible incorporation into this public art work!

These functional murals will be placed in key areas along the World Heritage Trail route to reinforce and enhance the visitor experience, while also providing an aesthetic vision that reflects the rich history and culture of the missions, people and neighborhoods within the area.
